I am a freelance writer residing in Portland, OR. In 2013 I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a B.A. in English- with a concentration in Journalism. I also obtained a minor in Entrepreneurship with a focus on Hospitality & Tourism. Currently, I hold the role of Director of Marketing & PR/ Head Copywriter for Colors On Parade. I also work with children, youth and families at Raphael House of Portland, a local domestic violence shelter in the community. Through my position, I have been given the opportunity to teach a writing workshop to children and families, which combines my passions for serving people in the community and teaching them the importance and value of words and story telling.
You can find me reading & writing for pleasure, as well as hiking, camping and exploring various parts of Oregon. (Or next to the cheese at any party.) Traveling is also a source of both inspiration and joy, and I hope to continually combine writing and traveling in the future.
